As a medievalist, it's not hard to find interesting depictions of the devil and/or hell. One of the more memorable ones for me was a visit to the Duomo in Florence and the frescoes on Brunelleschi's dome. The interior of the dome showcases Vasari's "The Last Judgment." The images show the relationship between heaven and hell. Here's a picture of the devil character: 

It has quite a few of the attributes we've seen already.
